Domaine de Coutinel
The Arbeau family have owned the Château Coutinel since 1920. Now it is the fourth generation, Anne and her brother Géraud who manage the estate. The vineyards of the small appellation of Fronton are planted on the sandy- clay soils called bourbène, which are typical of the South West. These soils and the dry climate make a good home to the lively Négrette variety which is featured in the appellation as well as other South West and Bordelaise varieties. For twenty years, the domaine has adhered to rigorous sustainable farming protocols that target healthy soils.
